About Us

Founded in 2005 by illustrator and artist's model, Molly Crabapple. Dr Sketchy is now a global phenomenon with over 60 branches across the world.

Dr Sketchy Coventry was the first to hit the midlands when it opened in June 2008.

Hosted at The Lock Gallery in the picturesque surroundings of the Canal Basin, Dr Sketchy Coventry happens twice a month on a friday night between 7pm and 10pm.

Life drawing reaches new heights, with the model being either a Burlesque Performer, Muscle-Man, Belly-Dancer, or anything else that little bit different to get your pencils going!

Whether you're Van Gogh or never picked up a pencil before, we will guarentee to unleash your creativity.

Throw in some competitions (best left handed drawing, round robin, best insertion of a....), some fabulous prizes and a little wine... and there you have it Dr Sketchy, Canal Style!
